Camp Founder and Director

Miss Hannah founded Camp JuMP in 2015, and has directed 13 musicals with 28 different casts since then. She graduated with honors as a University Fellow from Samford University with a BFA in Musical Theatre, and took multiple directing classes in college. Miss Hannah also teaches private voice lessons and musical theatre classes with JuMP Academy. She absolutely loves spending time with her campers at camp, and supporting them in their own performing endeavors. She seeks out opportunities to pour into her campers as artists and as people. She gives all glory to God for blessing Camp JuMP over the past 10 years. Miss Hannah also is a dedicated Swiftie and loves Chick-Fil-A French fries.

Mrs. B has been a part of Camp JuMP since it was founded. Some notable Camp JuMP achievements include creating and executing Elsa’s transformation quick change, and designing and creating some stunning costumes, including Ursula, many Mermaids, Cogsworth, and Mrs. Potts. She loves musical theatre and held multiple lead roles in high school and college. She enjoys traveling, playing board games with family, walking her dog Zoey, and managing her handmade craft shop Snappy Pea on Etsy. Mrs. B loves the community of Camp JuMP and the relationships she has developed and watched develop over the years. She considers her involvement in the creation and growth of this camp one of the most fulfilling endeavors of her life, and gives God all the glory and honor for blessing Camp JuMP over the last decade.

Rachel Peterson

Broadway Jr. Choreographer/Camp Counselor

Miss Rachel is thrilled to be joining Camp JuMP for their Broadway Jr. production this summer! As a professional choreographer and performer in the East Central area, she has trained for over 15 years in various styles. Most recently she graduated from Winthrop University with her BA in Dance. During her time, she performed in faculty work, created her senior thesis and was chosen as the student choreographer for the faculty showcase. Her choreographic works include South Pacific, Hunchback of Notre Dame, Cinderella, The Wizard of Oz, and company/studio master classes across the state. She is very excited about the show and can’t wait to meet all her eager campers!

Sophie Henry

Acting Counselor

Miss Sophie has been a part of Camp JuMP since it was founded in 2015. She started as a camper, then became a Junior Counselor, and is so honored to be a part of the staff now! She is a Blumenthal Junior Ambassador, and a five-year Conservatory student at Children’s Theatre of Charlotte. She fell in love with theatre at age seven and has been performing ever since. Her favorite Camp JuMP credits include Cinderella in Into The Woods Jr, Ariel in The Little Mermaid Jr, and Kassim in Aladdin Jr. She was most recently seen in Children's Theatre of Charlotte's professional production of The Best Christmas Pageant Ever in the lead role of Beth, and she was Teen Fiona in Children's Theatre of Charlotte's run of Shrek in 2021. Sophie is so excited to share her love of theatre with all of the campers and encourage them in their journeys as artists.

Devin Slade

Acting Counselor

Mr. Devin has been acting for almost seven years, and has been involved in many local community productions. Recent credits include Horton in Seussical, Peter in Peter in the Starcatcher, and Hans in Frozen Jr. He recently had the honor to perform at the 10th Annual Blumey Awards Celebration. He has had extensive theatre training with multiple theaters and talent agencies, and has taken numerous classes including Audition Techniques, Emotions of Acting, Improvisational Acting, and Musical Theatre. Devin also participated in UNCG’s Vocal Performance camp for several summers. Acting continues to excite him at every new turn, and he is so excited to meet all of the incredibly talented kids at Camp JuMP!
